Performance of this unique column-beam joint

(OP)
Hi, has anyone encountered or heard of the following column-beam design or similar? What can you say about it in terms of loading and seismic performance compared to conventional reinforced concrete and rebars based joints? What is its pro and con? Thanks.

See close up of it in page 12 of http://www.mfcbuildingsystem.com/ . Thanks

RE: Performance of this unique column-beam joint

I have not seen anything like this before - but if you are practicing in the USA then I wouldn't use something developed in the Philippines.

The standards they use and develop are probably somewhat different than America's and therefore hard to utilize without issue.  It might perform well enough in a seismic event but I personally would be using something that is only detailed in an online power point presentation either.

That said - it looks 'weak' to me.
