How to apply a Moment Load on a Hollow Cylinder

(OP)
Hi.

I need to apply a moment load to the top of a hollow cylinder which is made of shell elements. I shall highly appreciate it if someone can give me some guidance on how I can apply this load in ABAQUS. Attached file shows what I need to do.

Many thanks.

Kind regards,

Aliasger

RE: How to apply a Moment Load on a Hollow Cylinder

Hi Rob,
I tried this but during analysis it gives an error relating to the degree of freedom of the nodes that are tied.

However, when I use kinematic coupling it works. Is it ok to use kinematic coupling or does it have another function?

Kind regards,

Aliasger
