RE: Creating a Logo
Do you have an image or sketch of the logo ?
Is the logo to be 2D (silk screened or printed label), or 3D (engraved or embossed)?
Is the surface flat or cylindrical or spherical?

RE: Creating a Logo
Are you designing the logo, or are you copying an existing logo?
If you are designing the logo, is this something you are good at? A good artist is like a good mechanical designer. They can overcome crappy tools. Good tools will not make up for a lack of ability.

What kind of logo are you trying to make?

I am designing a simple 2D logo to apply on my drawings and plastic parts created in SW.
A thumbnail size 1"x1/2" with my name and a starburst sketch on it, probably color it.
Then save as a logo in solidworks, (I do not know at this moment if I can save it as a logo.)
Then as the need arises I want to paste it on flat or cylindrical surfaces.
No silk-screening or printing is involved, may be embossed on flat or cylindrical surfaces
In SW CAD jobs.
Thanks for your help so far,
sams
RE: Creating a Logo
That's how I have built all our logo's in every company I have been with, images are just to unstable.
