Chemical process optimization

Chemical process optimization

Chemical process optimization

(OP)
Hello everybody!

Can everybody tell me what does mean  process optimization . Does it mean, the best working parameters with low energy consumption or money saving? or is there something else.
And what are the stages taken to make a process optimization
Please give me some technical support to start with.

Thanks

RE: Chemical process optimization

lowest:  energy, waste, downtime, errors, cost

balanced with the highest:  quality, uptime, productivity, reliability, flexibility, profit, speed

With time, we could add dozens more terms to the lists above. It's a very broad term.

Perhaps someone else here can point you to a reference or discussion.  I just thought I'd throw out a stab at a definition...

Good on ya,

Goober Dave

RE: Chemical process optimization

First the plant design must meet the regulation and safe operation requirements. To optimize the design, normally you will depend on the cost and benefit ratio according to your company rule to add/cut equipment
