Bracing by angle profile

(OP)
Hi
I need some advise on the following please:I am going to Brace a 5"x2" Nipoflange on a 5" run of pipe using a piece of 60x60x6mm Angle, the top of angle is going to be welded to the lower part of the 2" flange (circumference)and the bottom part to the top of the run, what kind of weld and weld symbol do I need to achieve this. Thanks in advance.

RE: Bracing by angle profile

A "5" run of pipe" probably doesn't need any bracing.  But, a sketch or two might help show what you are trying to do.  Otherwise, the weld must transfer the brace force without damaging the flange or interfering with any bolt pattern, etc.
