Need help Endress+Hauser FMP55 - GWR plus capacitance gauge

Need help Endress+Hauser FMP55 - GWR plus capacitance gauge

(OP)
Hello all,

I recently got this combo gauge which is aiming oil/water interface applications with emulsion. There are 3 measurement modes - Level, Interface and Interface with capacity. The first two modes use GWR only, and the third one - GWR+capacitance.

I'm pretty happy with its GWR part but when it comes to capacitance, it's just not working! I can see in FieldCare that it measures the capacitance but reports 0 interface. I am very confused, I followed the guidelines stated in their manual, I tried to tweak it but the only thing which I discovered is that if you switch to the combo mode after standard GWR mode, it starts working but not stable. If you open echo-curve, a decent interface peak is always present, but interface thickness reported is 0.

Has anyone any experience with this product? Please share! I can't find any discussions, test or overviews on the web, but the adverts only.

Thanks in advance!

Dear IRikhter,

We apologize that your Levelflex FMP55 is not supporting your process in a way you can expect it.

In this case we recommend that you contact your local Endress+Hauser service organisation. Our colleagues will provide helpful advice and further information, so that you will be able to make the Levelflex FMP55 run in your application successfully.

Please visit our website www.endress.com to find contact details of the Endress+Hauser sales support in your country.

Best regards
