File names of imported STP Assembly components...

File names of imported STP Assembly components...

I know this may be wishful thinking, but thought I'd ask.

We have recently switched from Catia V5R20 to SW11, and occasionally I have to move an assemlby over to work with.  When I do SW will keep the Catia file name for the top level assembly, but all components (parts and sub-assemblies) file names are derived from the Catia description.  Is there a way to change this.  I need to keep file names as part numbers, and while it can be changed in SW, it can be a bit of work on larger assemblies.

thanks!

RE: File names of imported STP Assembly components...

How are you converting to a format SW can open?

Sorry, thought I mentioned that.  I'm converting to STP with Catia.  I may have to see if there's a quick way to change the description while still in Catia.
