UGZIPC Win7 solution found

UGZIPC Win7 solution found

(OP)
Hi All,
i have been struggling with the fantastic "UG Zip" from http://www.w-eng.de/ugzipc.htm
Where it "should run" on Win7 64 but does not...
It seems there might be two possible reasons, either it needs a developer license ( -which is why it runs fine for John Baker)
or there is a problem on 64 bit.
Anyhow i found on a German NX forum a recompiled version of the DLL that works. ( which the original files don't on my computer)

Download the attached zipfile and replace the ".dll" in the "startup folder". Done. ( see original install instructions)

Thanks to Uwe.A who supplied the new DLL's.

Regards,
 Tomas

RE: UGZIPC Win7 solution found

Since the original program was written for 32-bit OS, the .dll files will not work on a 64-bit OS. The new .dll's have been compiled on a 64-bit OS.

And how do you recompile?

Best regards,

Michaël.

NX7.5.4.4 + TC Unified 8.3

RE: UGZIPC Win7 solution found

You need to get the source files from www.w-eng.de and have a UG/Open developers license and Visual Studio C.

Tomas provided a zip file with the 64bit files.
