Hi,

Has anyone installed I-deas 5 on windows 7 64 bit?
Has it worked?

If not, will it work under Windows XP Mode?
Thanks.

RE: I-DEAS 5 on Windows 7 64 bit

I think there is issues with the Orbix running If you ask this on PLMWORLD.ORg you may get a better response.

I think there is a patch that is out on the web somwhere that will let the orbix run if you have I-Deas nx6.1.

We tried I-deas M12 on windows 7 32 and could not get anything to export out.  STEP IGES Ect.

Hey Sunny969!

Did you find the Orbix patch for NX I-deas v6.1? I am looking for it too.

Thanks

Hi,
I found the orbix patch for NX5 on the Seimens website.
Not sure about v6.1
I've got NX5 running on Windows 7 64 bit with no issues.
I did have to ensure that the orbix service was installed and running as a service.

RE: I-DEAS 5 on Windows 7 64 bit

Hi,

I thought that the first version of NX I-deas that was possible to run on Windows 7 64 bit was 6.1. I am happy to hear that also v5 is possible. Could you please give me the link for dowloading the Orbix patch for v5 version?

Thanks and regards,
jl
