Can NX part family structure be cloned using Teamcenter Integrated?

Can NX part family structure be cloned using Teamcenter Integrated?

(OP)
I have a family template part named "part_template1.prt" that contains family members "part_member1-1.prt" and "part_member1-2.prt".  The family member parts have been created and each member has its own separate drawing file that was created via master model concept and named "part_member1-1_dwg.prt" and "part_member1-2_dwg.prt".  Is it possible to copy these models as new item or clone to new numbers so that I have separate copy of all with the same structure: "part_template2.prt" with family members "part_member2-1.prt", "part_member2-2.prt" and drawings "part_member2-1_dwg.prt", "part_member2-2_dwg.prt, using Teamcenter Integrated 8.3.2.2 and NX 7.5.5.4?  From what I can tell, when I clone a family template part or family member part, the family relationship parts and drawings are not included.

RE: Can NX part family structure be cloned using Teamcenter Integrated?

You can do a save as of the original part to "part_template2.prt". Create the members. Then export the original drawings (file export part..) to the according new member and substitute (or replace component)the old part into the new member part in the drawing. I'm not sure that you will keep the dimensions associative.

Best regards,

Michaël.
