PU coating to bond to polypropylene?

PU coating to bond to polypropylene?

PU coating to bond to polypropylene?

(OP)
Hi,

I need to develop a PU coating resin that bonds to polypropylene.

It needs to be a 2K solvent borne system and it's for a textile so it must be reasonably flexible.
The isocyanate must be aliphatic.

I am not looking for a soft PU dispersion for textile coating but rather a fairly tough but flexible coating, e.g. as for plastics.

Can anyone suggest a starting point? Will it be mainly the polyol that determines how well (or if) the resin bonds to PP?

any help I can have will be much appreciated. Thanks !

Claus
