Another BOM Balloon Question

Another BOM Balloon Question

Another BOM Balloon Question

(OP)
Yet, another issue with BOM Balloons.  When set my filter to components and right click to bring in a BOM balloon, it says add reference balloon, which is what I don't want.  So I use the Show/Erase command and when I click on the component, I get nothing.  I've looked all over the drawings trying to see if the balloon is there and I just missed it, but it's not.  Someone mentioned before something about the model tree on the left and where they are supposed to be there, but I don't see that anywhere either.  I need these balloons but they just won't show up.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Wildfire 4 is what I'm using.

Thanks,
Mike

RE: Another BOM Balloon Question

Honestly, it sounds like you're showing the balloons incorrectly.

It's far easier to simply go to Table->BOM Balloons->Set Region->(Pick a region) then Create Balloon->Show All.

Once all the balloons are there, move them to the correct views and be done with it. Or... alternately you can show balloons by component or by view from the same menus.

This is Wf2 & WF3 functionality but it didn't change in WF4. Selecting the component and then right-clicking to show a balloon or using the model/drawing tree only works for Wildfire 5 (Creo Elements Pro/5) and beyond.

Thanks!
-Brian

I've actually been doing this to show all my balloons in WF4.  I ended up finding out that they were showing up in another view that I didn't think they were in so I didn't look.  Thanks for the info though.
