Check for missing boundary conditions?

Check for missing boundary conditions?

Check for missing boundary conditions?

(OP)
Abaqus finds solutions even when not all DOFs of the body are constrained. Apparently it sets constraints on its own to guarantee a solution. What I want is Abaqus to tell me, warn me, or allow me to check which DOFs, or RBMs are not constrained.

RE: Check for missing boundary conditions?

Never seen this before as if there are no proper constraints then you get an error saying negative eigenvalues and it will say which freedom is unconstrained. The only way in which you would get a solution is in a dynamic analysis.

I do not get such an error. If I look into the msg file, yes, it says negative eigenvalue WARNING, no more. I'd like abaqus to tell me indeed which freedoms are unconstrained.
