Data Acquisition Equipment- recomendation

(OP)
Im interested in collecting a microphone, accelerometer, impulse, and tach signal for vibration data analysis. I need to collect data from a small gear box. Preferably a PC based device with a spectra capablilty, waterfall plot, etc. Primarily interested in determining the component responsible for create objectionable sound levels.

Anyone have any systems they like?

Thanks,

RE: Data Acquisition Equipment- recomendation

Prosig make just the thing. Check out their demo to see if you like.  Ours cost rather a lot, but then they do give us 32 or 64 channels and some fairly specialised software.

Cheers

Greg Locock
