italian tolerance standard on drawings

hello - i have a set of drawings from italy that in the drawing title block it refers to the tolerance as a check box w/ min - med - max. then refers to a standard as general processing tolerance uni 5307-63 - could someone please dorect me to this spec or any info pertaining to this - any help would be greatly appreciated - thank you in advance

RE: italian tolerance standard on drawings

Is the min-med-max as you state it here in english or is that your translation of some italian words?

hello again - the min-med-max is both in italian & english as part of the title block - i have tried to search for the uni spec but have not been able to come up w/ anything that is clear to me - any other info would be greatly appreciated - thank you again

RE: italian tolerance standard on drawings

It looks like general tolerances standard similar to ANSI B4.3 or ISO 2768.
Interestingly, the website for UNI - the Italian standard body - returns zero search results for UNI 5307-63, as if it was discontinued several years ago.

RE: italian tolerance standard on drawings

CH is headed in the same direction I was going. Realize I know nothing about Italian standards. I suspect it is a tolerance grade implied to tolerance metric dimensions (is the drawing metric?).

RE: italian tolerance standard on drawings

No, I particularly recall "gross" from the German.
Sorry duk748.

RE: italian tolerance standard on drawings

possibly...

grado MEDIO = middle grade

"Tolleranze generali: a norma UNI 5307/63 - grado MEDIO - fori tolleranza+/alberi tolleranza-Øesterno "

RE: italian tolerance standard on drawings

It's upside-down Frank,
Coarse is on top.
Checkers... smile

hello again & thank you so much for the help - that drawing image will really help - i believe that is what is was looking for - i found the same thing when doing a search also - that spec seems to have been discontinued - yes the drawing is metric & what was confusing to me wre the min-med-max boxes on the title block - once again i thank all who took their valuable time to help answer a question  - thank you again
