ASME Stamp on Pressure Vessels

ASME Stamp on Pressure Vessels

(OP)
While preparing a tender specification for the fabrication/supply of a pressure vessel, it is mentioned in the tender specification that the vessel shall be designed to say European, Japanese, in-house code. Can we still include in the same specification that the vessel shall be ASME stamped.

RE: ASME Stamp on Pressure Vessels

mka4281;
Not unless the vessel is designed and fabricated to ASME Code. Use of the ASME stamp is limited to ASME Code.

RE: ASME Stamp on Pressure Vessels

Hi,

Please note that with the inclusion of every standard (certification) in your spec, the cost of the unit is bound to go up, as the suppliers will have different certification prices for every code.

RE: ASME Stamp on Pressure Vessels

please refine... will the vessel be moved around the world that you need all those certs,
yes you can include ASME if will be used/installed where is required or if the owner requires it and if the money is there to include all of those.
