Help choosing an electro-valve

Help choosing an electro-valve

Help choosing an electro-valve

(OP)
Hi,

I am trying to control a pressure inside a glovebox filled with nitrogen with a pressure of about 3 - 5 mbar (relative pressure).

I wanted to install an electro-valve to control the pressure and maintain it above 3 mbar, but all I could find were electro valves with a control range 0 - 3 bar or above.

Does anyone knows a company/product with a smaller control range?

Thanks!
Best regards

RE: Help choosing an electro-valve

If you search nitrogen blanketing, you will find equipment suitable to control gas inlet and maintaining the pressure required, Your main problem will be size and price, as exact regulating valves in this range is rather expencive, and normally used for fairly large tank systems.

Another way to go could be searching out differential or normal pressostats (pressure switches and use this in connection with a suitable sizes on/off solenoid valve.

This could prove considerably cheaper, and might be satisfactory.

Many commercial combinations available.

See for instance http://www.kriwan.com/en/Protection_and_Controls-Products--25,productID__523.htm (not controlled as suitable, just to illustrate the idea)
