Inquiry : May a forged hollow be used to made flange up to NPS 32", there is no objection with the requirement of the ASME UG 14.

As informed, it is observed the constructor had procured Forged Hollows and Blanks of different sizes and then machined further in their shop to make Weld Neck/ Slip On flanges which is not acceptable.
