We have a boiler designed to a french boiler code:

Code de construction des générateurs de vapeur

We're particularly interested in part 103:

NFE 32-103 Code de construction des générateurs de vapeur - Partie 3 : Calcul de résistance des éléments soumis à une pression intérieure

as this is for the design calculations.

Is anybody familiar with it?  If it's been superseded then does anyone know what it's been superseded by?  I'm assuming it's now an EN code?

Cheers

RE: NFE 32-101, 102, 103 French Boiler Code: have a copy or know about it?

I dealt with an issue similar to that in the 70's and as I compared the French specifications to the US NB/ASME Power boiler code, the  results were similar back then.
You will have to sit down and spend the same amount of time that I did back then and also get an English French Technical dictionary.

Hi all,

well I wanted to put the following web site adress in my previous post:

http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/policies/european-standards/harmonised-standards/pressure-equipment/index_en.htm

It is a list of standards which that you can use to have presumption of conformity to the essential safety requirements of Directive 97/23/EC for Pressure equipment.

the EN 12952 Water-tube boilers and auxiliary installations with all its sub-parts is included.

yours,

Hi, I looked into EN12952 but it doesn't specify that it supersedes NF E 32-101, etc .

Thanks to the boys at IHS I've managed to locate a copy and it'll be here next week!

Many thanks for your comments.
