Hi all,

A manufacturer of us is searching of a lighter manhole DN500 flange to weld in an ellipsoidal head of a VIII-2 pressure vessel made of SA612 material. He uses SA350 LF2 flanges and they sugested as alternative SA182 F22 QT or SA336 F22 QT.

Does someone has some thoughts on this?

thx in advance,

RE: SA182 F22 QT & SA336 F22 QT vs SA350 LF2 flanges

You need to provide much more info. What is the MDMT? Will the material meet required impacts? What is the service? Will the 2 1/4 Cr alloy be acceptable in the sevice? What will be the effect of the higher PWHT for the F22 on the properties of the Carbon steel shell?
