Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion Joint Repair
Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion Joint Repair
(OP)
I am trying to find a solution to repair existing, submerged expansion joints at a waste water treatment plant. They need to be water tight and stand up to around 10 feet of pressure head. I am looking at a product manufactured by emseal called chemseal. It is a compressible, chemical resistant, post installed sealer that appears to be a good product.

Does anyone have experience with this product? Does anyone have any other products to recommend?
Thanks!

If the joint is moving and subject to reopening, you may be better off with yhe Sikadur_combiflex. The combiflex is a combination mechanical fastening and flexible hypalon strip system.

Listen to bimr. Use Combiflex. It would be the only system I would trust for an EJ. Make sure if the joint is wider than about an 1/2 inch that there's some backer material in there. Pay attention to laps and corners and you should be all right. The Sika reps are good and will help train your guys, too.
