Does anyone know where to find information on Hammer Beam Trusses?

I'm doing some research and can really only find pictures.  I could just pump the geometry into a model, but I'd like a little historical information first.

Here is what has been answered about this before.

As EOR's we should take the responsibility to design our structures to support the components we allow in our design per that industry standards.

RE: Hammer Beam Truss

Download the pdf from

http://www.archive.org/details/p3buildingconstr00kidduoft

with plenty info on the trusses and their way of working. Of course no substitute for any modern analysis tool, but great to start.

In Acrobat, use F3 or Ctrl-F to open a search for the Hammer Beam Truss words.

RE: Hammer Beam Truss

I understand there is a log of information on the International Blacksmith website too...
