Where in the world do Eng-Tips members come from?

No cutting head in bystronic byspeed when one is present

good day
i have a bystronic byspeed 3015 4,4 kw laser
we have a problem on the machine that both cutting heads when in and you want to calibrate the cutting heads it comes up with an error message that it say no cutting head available .

did any one ever experiance this problem and what did you do to rectify it

please help

from what I understand, with the original byspeeds, it was possible to open the shutter with no cutting head installed. The raw beam shooting directly into the nozzle holder is not good and it happened. A switch was supposedly fitted to the machines to prevent this, I would remove the head and look for this switch. They probably wired it into an input in the CNC cabinet.

I have 4 bystronic machine. I had a same problem. check at ceramic nozzle and diode holder. change ceramic nozzle.
problem will be resolve.
