Low Cycle Fatigue Analysis in ABAQUS/CAE

Low Cycle Fatigue Analysis in ABAQUS/CAE

Low Cycle Fatigue Analysis in ABAQUS/CAE

(OP)
Hi,

I am performing a low cycle fatigue analysis of a strut member subjected to cyclic loading using ABAQUS/CAE.

I have all my material properties working using a combined isotropic/kinematic hardening model. My difficulty lies in implementing the life parameters detailed below:

Fatigue ductility coefficient
Fatigue ductility exponent
Cyclic strength coefficient
Cyclic strain hardening exponent

From experimental testing I have values for the above properties but don't know where to implement them in ABAQUS/CAE.

I have been using these values successfully in ANSYS Workbench until now but due to Academic licence issues iv had to switch to ABAQUS (which I find better than ANSYS for my problem at least).

Has anyone any ideas on how to include these parameters into my model.

Regards,

JK7070

RE: Low Cycle Fatigue Analysis in ABAQUS/CAE

Hi,

Did you figured it out? I am unsure aso where to plug in these values, Kindly reply if you did. Thanks
