NX6 mirror component in assembly
NX6 mirror component in assembly
(OP)
hi,
i did find a few trheads that looked like my problem but it wasnt the same..
i've made a LH part and i need to mirror it. when i mirror it with the function "mirror assembly" and mirror it through a plane. i just get the same part but then turned in many ways with the "cycle mirror solutions".. but still not mirror'd just turned. when i use "create mirror geometry" i get the RH part, but i cant move or turn it, or put constrains on it(because you cant move or turn it)
can someone help me with this? i have the LH part and i need the RH as an other solid.
Thnx, BG, Chevy

thnx for the comment though.. but thats the problem, when i do that, its the same as the "create mirror geometry" as i stated earlier. it the part that i need, but i cant move it.. when i move it and click oke/apply it just teleports to the spot on where its mirrored i need the part to be mirrored, but move individually from its 'parent'
i have the LH part but its a complicated part and i wish that the part itself is mirrored and be used elsewhere or in an other way..

its the same as when i use "create mirror geometry".
i need a mirrored part but isnt related to its plane which its mirrored on..
as in.. 2 hands(i know that hands are not exactly the same..):
when i move my left hand, i dont want the right one to be moved, but move seperate from the other one, though its a mirrored version. with this function, i cant move the mirrored part.. the visual is good, and its a seperate part thats nice and its the shape it has to have. but its restrained to the plane..

Edit -> Move Object...
...with the 'Move Original' toggled ON, 'Move Parent' toggled OFF and 'Associative' toggled ON.
