Plates connected by hinge along an edge

Plates connected by hinge along an edge

(OP)
Hello,
I'm really new to Abaqus,i studied physics some time ago, so I know what I'm talking about (the problem I'll write of), even though I'm not an engineer.

Can you help me to set the following problem into Abaqus?

I have two plates (planar, they lie on the same horizontal plane) (plywood, of which i'm supposed to know young modulus etc...),which are supported by springs (let's say 200 cm x 200 cm plywood plate, 10 mm thick, with total of 10 springs (or any elastic support) per plate, which act as elastic supports against the ground floor).

Now these two plates are connected along an edge by an hinge (so the two plates cannot move apart from each other, or slide, but can rotate, like two pages of a book on a table)

1. can you help set this problem into Abacus. All i want to know is the vertical displacement (at equilibrium) (normal to the plate surface at rest) in one single point where I apply a concentrated external load.

2. the same as 1. above, but the hinge has an elastic response when rotated (that is the more the "pages" are rotated (like closing two pages of a book against each other), and more rotational momentum we find in the hinge).
That is to say the hing becomes "stiffer" when rotated, (hinge reaction momumentum = constant * angle of totation).

Basically what i don't know is:
-how to create the hinge (regular hinge)
-how to create an elastic hinge
-how to create elastic supports (like a spring, or a rubber block)
-how to apply a concetrated load and tell abaqus to output vertical displacement at equilibrium) of the point of application of the load.

Thank you
