Patran Solving using nastran but no output files?

Patran Solving using nastran but no output files?

(OP)
Hi there

Started using patran and nastran not too long ago. Recently I have been using patran on a laptop which for some reason is unable to produce output files when solving using nastran?

I have attached a print screen of what the command history says.

http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=a0edfda9-70be-4bfd-aee1-e429e5088a41&file=Untitled.jpg

Just wondering if anyone knows how to solve the issue?

Kind Regards
Matt

RE: Patran Solving using nastran but no output files?

I see you are modifying the P3_Trans.ini file. What does your P3_Trains.ini configuration look like? I hope it looks something like in this blog post.

From the image you provided, Patran doesn't even seem to start Nastran and without any sort of warning messages from Patran.

The whole point to Patran is to make one ".bdf" file (sometimes a .dat file) that then gets sent to MSC or MD Nastran for analysis. Find that ".bdf" and manually submit it to MSC/MD Nastran if Patran still cannot talk to MSC/MD Nastran.

Best of Luck
