Hot Tap and Line Stop Equipment Qualification

Hot Tap and Line Stop Equipment Qualification

greetings everyone,
We are about to purchase new hot tap machines as well as line stop equipment. The design of the equipment needs to be checked against any available industry code/standard. The two things that i can think of now are the "hot tap adaptor" and the "plugging head cylinder/housing". Those two parts need to comply with ASME Sec. VIII since they are the pressurized components during operations.

Can anyone share with me his/her toughts on how to qualify those equipment prior purchasing.

The figures of the hot tap machine and line stop are in the attached link.
