CO2 Compressor casing for UREA Plant

(OP)
We have received a qoutation of CO2 compressor with two options for casing

A- Cast A216ACB with SS lining
B- Forged Steel

I have two questions

1- what should we chose if the two options are with same price and why?

2- regarding the first option, what is the suitable ss lining thickness. We have received different opinion, some say 1.5 mm and some say it can be 4 mm. what is the best practical ss lining thickness

Regards

SHARQ

RE: CO2 Compressor casing for UREA Plant

The best option is the one that offers the lowest total cost of ownership.
