Wheelock DV-200

Wheelock DV-200

(OP)
I have two of the old Wheelock DV-200.   Great product and wish it was still available.  It hasn't been made in 8 years so there is no factory support.  So I'm posting here to see if anyone else solved this issue.

Channel 4 will program and the display will read 'Message Playing' but there is no 'line out' audio.   I can play through Channel 4 with music in, and the music drops out when the message plays, but again no audio of the message itself.  I can play the same message on any of the other three channels and it plays fine.   Weird thing is that it's the same way on both units.  So I'm thinking it may not be broken on both.

Was there something special about channel 4 that needs to be turned on, or were there additional chips needed to make it work?

Since this isn't being manufactured or repaired any longer – is it possible to get a schematic of the board for internal troubleshooting.

RE: Wheelock DV-200

Googling: Wheelock DV-200 .pdf

...seems to lead to an Operation and Installation Manual. Google shows a preview. But I can't access the link, perhaps the link is broken.
