BEAD - NX7.5

BEAD - NX7.5

(OP)
Hi,

I've found an UG file (attached to this message), that has a Bead feature.
My intention is to recreate this file using Sheet Metal.
I had known that Bead is a tool integrated in Sheet Metal only,
but it looks like the Bead in the attached file belongs to Modeling, not to Sheet Metal.
The NX version I use (7.5) doesn't have this feature.
I am confused.......should I understand that the file has been created in another UG version?
I do not remember to use this feature during my last 4 years experience with UG!
Thanks!

How would you create this file using Sheet Metal feature, only?

Thanks John.
I'd known that creating a bead in Sheet Metal requires a planar face.
I was wondering if someone can give me information about the bead the file I attached has! It is a different sort of bead, not created in Sheet Metal!....

RE: BEAD - NX7.5

This model was created using an older, and now obsolete, module known as 'Sheet Metal Design'.  You get a hint of this when you attempt to edit any of the so-called 'sheet metal' features such as the 'SM Flange' or the 'Bead' and the dialogs that come-up are ones which were obviously from an era BEFORE NX 5.0 when we adopted the new 'block-based' dialog design.
