nx 7.5 Section View 2D Drafting Multiple segments

nx 7.5 Section View 2D Drafting Multiple segments

(OP)
I have made a section view in 2D drafting that has multiple segments in the section.

When the cross section veiw is made I get the cross section. But I am missing the lines at each segment change in the 2D section.  Is there a setting that will put these lines into my view for me.  Please see JPEG.

I tried doing a search but could not find nothing.

Thanks

RE: nx 7.5 Section View 2D Drafting Multiple segments

The cheating solution is to expand your view and add a line that way.  It works rather well for the little hiccups like this.

The other thing I would do is check the layers, make sure the line segment isn't a sketch line, though I admit it should be part of the solid.

I would also check the view dependent editor to see if it had been manually erased by someone.

Does the line stay with the Segment section in the the section view when the Segment moves?

If not I will just ignore these missing lines.

Thanks

RE: nx 7.5 Section View 2D Drafting Multiple segments

If you expand the view and draw in a line I believe it will always be unassociative. However, I think you should be able to make that view the active sketch view and insert an associative line with a sketch. This should have some chance of staying in the right place if the model changes. The fact that this looks like a glitch in the section view operation says to me that all bets are off. If the model changes then the line that should be there could magically appear. It is also hard to know if what looks like an endpoint there will actually behave like one if you try to make a line segment coincident to it. I would be curious to know what happens if you try it.
