Flow Meter for NMP (N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone)

Flow Meter for NMP (N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone)

(OP)
Looking to install a flow meter on our NMP tank supply main line into the building. We need to determine how much of this chemical we are using in our process. Any recommendations on type of meter and brand would be appreciated.

RE: Flow Meter for NMP (N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone)

My first choice is always mass flow meters.  I have Micro Motion and Foxboro.  There are others that I am sure work equally well.
If that is to pricey and your flow conditions allow it then I would go with a turbine meter or a positive displacement meter.  If you just want a vague idea of what the flow is then maybe a differential pressure meter is for you.

Last week I got an email about how to choose the right flowmeter from Chemical Engineering Magazine.  You might check their web page.
