Hello, I've an odd issue that has surfaced. We have an engineering assistant in our office that open and exports pdf drawing packages of our products. Recently she opened a drawing and it comes in with dimensions unassociated and the views require to be updated. Even after updating the views the dimensions don't reattach. Any of the drafting employees can open this drawing and it comes in clean with all the dimensions attached. The assembly load options are the same. We are running NX 6.0.5.3 native in windows xp. I'm not sure why there is discrepancy in the pcs. Anyone????

RE: Different results for different folks.

Check the load options of the engineering assistant and make sure they are the same as everyboy eleses.

RE: Different results for different folks.

sorry about my last post, I guess I didn't read your last sentence.
Make sure the engineering assistant has the customer defaults loaded like everybody else does.

RE: Different results for different folks.

Can you exemplify the load options ?
Open as saved / from folder / search directories ?

Do they have different disks mapped under the same drive letters and using search directories ?

RE: Different results for different folks.

Is it a common network load_options.dat file?
If not, are the paths ALL in the same order?
Same with reference sets.

Attached is the load options used by the guys in drafting. All the pc are mapped to U:\Library folder.

The customer defaults are confusing I thought if those were changed that was a site wide change and effects all users? Is this not the case?

I can't seem to locate load_options.dat file. on my local drive of the UG server drive.

RE: Different results for different folks.

You may want to try changing these, to see if it helps:

Load Parents > all levels
Parts to load > Previously loaded

RE: Different results for different folks.

Is the drawing using master model method? Also, is the drawing of a single part or assembly?

The opening post mentions drawing views not updating and then jumps straight to load options, so I assume it is a master model drawing of a part or assembly, but I'd just like to make sure.

I'd start by checking to see where exactly the parts are loading from; close all open files, open only the file in question on your computer and go to Information -> Part -> Loaded Parts. Save the listing window results to file and/or print it. Repeat the process on the administrator's computer and compare results.

If the same files are loading from the same locations, you can rule out the load options.

and if you are using "master model", maybe try opening the model file first, and then the drawing file - If that works then we can narrow down to what the problem is.

thanks Cowski using this loaded parts file. Was able to determine the issue was not loading a small sub assembly. Once this part was opened there was no issues.

Yes, mater model method is followed.
