(OP)
I have to analyze and check design of an existing Elevated circular Rcc over head water tank, supported on 6 columns. Whole structure is RCC. Column layout is circular supported on a conts foundation ring. columns are inclined. As str goes up,ring dia keep reducing till it reaches tank level.columns are braced at every 11'-8" interval starting from plinth.Every thing is symmetric.Total height of str is 84' fom NGL.

My question is, that what basic parameters i should keep in mind. Seismic Zone is 2B. I have taken R value as 5.5(IMRF). Is this ok? what damping value should i take? Concrete looks poor in quality( core test results hav'nt compe up yet).

Thanks.
