Repost from Siemens: UG/NX Forum

Hello Engineers!

I am trying to model a bevel gear in I-DEAS. But I am having some real issues with it. I am not worried about the exact specs now. I am only looking for some basic steps because I am relatively new to solid modeling in I-deas. Comments/suggestions will be really appreciated.

Thanks!

RE: Modeling a bevel gear in I-DEAS

Try Lofting. Using Rails.  Pay attention to the pitch cone and Root angles.
