Maximum width of open area around the sprinkler

I have a particular problem where the pendent sprinkler is in an area where the false ceiling is open 250 mm on both the sides of the sprinkler. there is a upright sprinkler above the false ceiling also .I would like to know if the opening around the sprinkler will delay its activation? if so is there any defined permissible maximum width of the opening around the pendent sprinkler? the deflector is flushed with the false ceiling.

RE: Maximum width of open area around the sprinkler

It might delay it

Looks like the head could be moved away from the opening

RE: Maximum width of open area around the sprinkler

Forgot to add the head is probably tested with a flat ceiling and any eschuition as part of the head in place

So you could possibly say that the head is being used in violation of its listing

RE: Maximum width of open area around the sprinkler

The sprinkler should be moved to be in the "cloud" ceiling.
