OS: WIN7 64BIT
VERSION: SOLID EDGE WITH ST

When I try  to open  any .stp file I get as far as the 'new' dialog box and then I'm stuck. What am I doing wrong?

RE: Opening .stp File, Shows Nothing

You should be seeing a list of template files.
I've seen this but can't remember how to fix it.
Make sure Solid Edge Options > File Locations > Templates is set to look in the correct place -  either the default location or your preferred templates.
Then make sure you have set the cration options to use template s from the same locations  - I think this may be the problem but I'm not certain.

Where would we be without sat-nav?

RE: Opening .stp File, Shows Nothing

Variablez,

Where you able to solve this problem ?
I do have a similar problem. But I do get it also if I select new ctrl+n
First I did think it was because I have installed Network magic from cisco to have a better overview of my small network here.
But I believe it is not related to it, except for access rights...

I would be glad with any help at this moment.
