Section VIII-Div.2 3.11.2.2 (a) Issue

Section VIII-Div.2 3.11.2.2 (a) Issue

Section VIII-Div.2 3.11.2.2 (a) Issue

(OP)
Section VIII-Div.2 3.11.2.2 (a)says "if the governing thickness at any welded joint or any non-welded part exceeds 100mm(4 in.), and MDMT is colder than 43°C (110°F), then impact testing is required".

Does this mean that the forging designed with SA-350-LF2 Cl.1 needs to be impact tested "again" if the "governing thickness" is greater than 4" . I thought this material comes impact tested @ -50°F.

Anybody, please clarify.

Refer to 3.11.2.4(b)
