Assemblies and Drafting NX 7.5

Assemblies and Drafting NX 7.5

Assemblies and Drafting NX 7.5

(OP)
We recently switch to NX 7.5 from NX6.  We are having an issue when adding a new part to an existing assembly file that was from NX 6.  If constraints are used to locate the new part, you see the part when in modeling.  When you go to drafting, any views already on the drawing the part is not showing in the views.  You can go and add that same view again onto the drawing and the new part shows up in the view.  Now if the person adds the part to the assembly and uses select location instead of constraints, and adds the part, then applies constraints afterwards, the part shows up on existing views on the drawing.  Several users have experienced this with many different assemblies.  Not sure if there is some setting we have that is causing this or if this is a real NX 7.5 issue.

Already got a reply from GTAC.  In drafting you have to go to assemblies, context control, show components in view.  You select the view and it shows what components are not being shown.  After selecting the components, hit apply and then they appear in the drawing view.  It is a known issue with NX.
