Weird diagonal line on CATPart, no constraint problems

Weird diagonal line on CATPart, no constraint problems

I created a part and there were absolutely no problems with the model; however there seems to be a weird edge running diagonally as shown below. I used a Pad feature for the bottom plate and a Pocket for the groove underneath, if that's of any relevance.

RE: Weird diagonal line on CATPart, no constraint problems

Hi,

In v4 was recommended to create features a little bit bigger and after that cut or do some other operations exactly to avoid such kind of problems....meaning small, very small entities created by CATIA...

or

You can try to adjust the vizualization parameters in Tools\Options\General\Display\3D Accuracy...

or

You need additional Service Pack (by the way, which release are you using ? this was a known bug in r8 , r11, r16...).

Fernando

Ah, I see now, r16, sorry for the question.

I forgot to mention, my school is using V5R16, so I don't think I can apply any patches or packs. If it doesn't interfere with my subsequent assemblies or part modifications I don't mind it that much, I just don't want this to affect anything later on.
