ERROR: Time increment required is less than the minimum specified

ERROR: Time increment required is less than the minimum specified

(OP)
I read the previous thread pertaining to this problem and none of the solutions appear to help my model. Here is some background on the model I am working with. It is a simple 2D model with 4 parts interacting with each other for a simple static analysis. (Just learning Abaqus) Each part has its own material properties and is basically a very rough 2D model of a femoral implant surrounded by a thin layer of trabecular & cortical bone. I have read the manual on the sections and from what I can tell the interactions I created 'should' work, however, they of course do not and receive the error, "Time increment required is less than the minimum specified"

Attached is my .INP file for the failed job, if anyone has any advice on how to possibly fix this issue, I would appreciate it. I have attempted to change the time step per the previous suggestion, checked where the nodes line up for non-linear problems, and tried turning on the stabilization.

The current time step (step-1) settings are.
Initial: 1
Min: 0.0001
Max: 1

Thanks,
Pat

RE: ERROR: Time increment required is less than the minimum specified

You only have one step. Try running an additional step where the parts are displaced to make contact, and then run the load step.
