Attributable drawings??

Attributable drawings??

Attributable drawings??

(OP)
Has anyone heard of this? I have used block attributes, but a client is concerned that his drawings are 'attributable'

RE: Attributable drawings??

Seems like he's saying exactly what you did and he deosn't like it!
I've had clients who hate attributed blocks.  They're so acustom to hitting that one icon for editing text that they won't click on another.

If they don't want ATTRIIBUTABLE DWGs, tell'em to "BURST" the blocks. Burst will explode the block but keep the values.

See if that's what they want. I'm almost sure.

RE: Attributable drawings??

Hi,

You should first ask your client in order to clarify what he/she means:

- Attributes as part of blocks, and also exportable data.
- Attibutes as extended data (exportable also).
- If he means an external database that can collect drawing database information thru a customized autolisp file.

Hope this helps,

Roberto.
