Male Male Socket Adapters

Male Male Socket Adapters

Male Male Socket Adapters

Has anyone ever seen such a thing?

I have ordered a Snap On torque angle gauge for one of our scientists to do alignment.  She wants to rotate a nut from underneath while looking down at the gauge.

The worst case here is that I will have to buy an extender, cut it off with a hacksaw and add a 1/4" socket drive with a file.  I would be nice if I could find something off the shelf.

Uh...a piece of 1/4" hardened and ground tool steel stock?  Like what you could find on McMaster.com?

RE: Male Male Socket Adapters

Your angle gauge has 3/8" square drive.  Like btrueblood says, use square stock.  You may have to round over the corners.

Drawoh...can you explain why a piece of square stock won't work for you?  Just curious.

RE: Male Male Socket Adapters

I would guess that simple square stock has no retention detents.

btrueblood,

   That is a good question.

I don't have any square stock lying around.  If I modify something, I will probably have to take it home and work in my backyard shed.  It may be worth checking Home Depot.  The extender noted above, will not cost much more.
