Whats standards/specifications are frac pumps (specifically the fluid end) designed to? Are the producers of these fluid ends performing FEA on their designs in accordance with API 7K and ASME Section VIII Divsion 3, or since the industry basically uses the same design, do they just manufacture it and sell it?

Look at API 674 which covers reciprocating positve displace ment pumps; I'm guessing most frac pumps are of this design.
