Problem opening NX8 part files in NX7.5

(OP)
I have access to NX8.0 but on school campus the computers are installed with NX7.5. When I try to open a file i have made in NX8 at school i get an error saying the part file was made on a new version of the program. I was wondering if there is anyway around this.

RE: Problem opening NX8 part files in NX7.5

Sorry, but there's no downward compatibility in CAD sad

That being said, since it appears that you're a student I suspect that this thread will not survive the day.

Well John, I do find the uptick in student questions to be encouraging!

Technically, the glass is always  full.

You can always parasolid and or step the part across.  No History support by you can use synchronous technology to modify your part!
