Common Condensate Pot for Multiple Exchangers

Common Condensate Pot for Multiple Exchangers

(OP)
Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible (or recommended) to use one or a common condensate pot for steam blowby protection for multiple steam exchangers. The steam exchangers are for different services but will be located in the same area of the plant.

Is it better to have a dedicated condensate pot for each exchanger?

thanks in advance for all comments.

RE: Common Condensate Pot for Multiple Exchangers

Dedicated is much better especially when (as you say) the services are different.
In case you need to shut down one service and you have only one condensate pot you run the risk of injury of one or more of the workers unless you can insurer positive isolation.
