Inconel Cladding for Control valves (Globe or reciprocating type)
Inconel Cladding for Control valves (Globe or reciprocating type)
(OP)
Friends,
Can we do inconel 625 cladding for globe control valves. One of the EPC contractor + engg consulatant requests to do this, though I feel cladding could be more relevant to ball valves.
Can you please send me the technical disadvantages of cladding a globe type control valve.
Many valves in this project are 3",4" - almost 10 each + few in 12" & 16".
Which is technically best solution. Is full valve in inconel the best solution for leng term reliability, especially when EPC has to run to plant for some time (5 years) on behalf of end user.
Can anyone share some photos of improper cladding in globe valve.

Otherwise, I do not see why it would not be possible. Whether or not it makes sense has to depend on the service. Substituting a full inconel valve sounds costly, but without having the big picture it's hard to say if the cost is worth it.
Also, I noticed that you have asked for disadvantages and evidence that cladding globe valves turns ugly. It seems like you have made up your mind already.
