Problem Making Cross Section to a STL filr

Problem Making Cross Section to a STL filr

(OP)
Hi, I was struggling with softwares in order to cut a STL file into a cross sectional view. I've tried to open with Solidwork, but I couldn't even work with the file through the software. I can't even select the surface. Anyone can help me?

Thanks!

RE: Problem Making Cross Section to a STL filr

After selecting Filef Type from dropdown list click the Options button that appears. This will give you an option to tell SolidWorks to import as a Surface or Solid Representation instead of the Graphics Representation that SolidWork selects automatically otherwise.

Sometimes if it's a really complex STL SolidWorks will just Puss (& Boots) Out and leave you stranded and Perplexed.
