Cable Pulling on Tray

Cable Pulling on Tray

Cable Pulling on Tray

(OP)
Hi,

Here in our area ,Cables are traditionally pulled through cable tray by manual labor.

I want to modernize this using cable rollers etc.But advise I am getting is that rollers are not good at all where frequent bends are there in tray.

Please give me all advise for pulling 4nos of 4CX185 sqmm cable through 80mtrs length , three 45 degree bends and one 90 degree outside riser.

thanx in advance

RE: Cable Pulling on Tray

If my conversion is correct that is about 400 MCM cable.
Depends on the size of the crew. We would use sheaves and rollers. For the riser we would remove the tray 90 degree bend until the cable was installed. The rollers should be held by a single chain or cable so that they may be free to "walk" as the cable is pulled. This drastically reduces the pulling effort.
Gotta go. More later.
